In the following sessions we work towards overcoming your suffering, so you can move in the direction of life, you want. Throughout the individual therapy, I give you different ACTskills, exercises and mindfulness techniques, which you can use to make big changes in how you handle your thoughts and emotions. We gently uncover the root cause of your problems. By doing so you will be able to alleviate your suffering.
In individual therapy I help you to change your behaviors. This can be extremely difficult, when you are in a challenging life situation and stuck in your reactive emotions and thoughts. Most negative or bad thoughts, emotions and situations we try to avoid, get rid of or control. We do this to avoid pain, but at what cost to your life and the people you love? In therapy I help you use acceptance with your emotions, thoughts and situations instead of avoiding them. By doing so you can do things differently, in a way that aligns with your unique values and then experience freedom to live the life you choose.
My experience as a psychotherapist.
The combination of being an international myself and having my psychotherapy training and specialty in ACT, gives me a unique ability to help you. I have personally experienced, how much using ACT has transformed my own life as well as the lives of many clients.
Within the therapeutic space, it is important that I, as the therapist, and you, as the client, connect and create a strong alliance. Through this alliance I can help you professionally on a much deeper level than what a friend, family member or colleague can do.
